Carson Lee Stoffel, 15, of Roanoke passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019, in Rockford, Illinois. He was a student at Huntington North High School.
Carson lived and breathed for BMX. He competed in many BMX competitions and loved riding with his friends. He loved many extreme sports, including skateboarding and scooters. Carson was competing at the Midwest Nationals BMX competition in Rockford, Illinois when he passed away doing what he loved. He loved spending time with his friends and siblings, and he loved being an older brother. Carson helped teach clinics for beginner BMX racers entering the sport.
Carson was born on May 1, 2004, in Huntington, Indiana to his parents, Jacob Stoffel and Krista (Adkins) Rohrabaugh.
Survivors include his parents: Krista (Adam) Rohrabaugh of Roanoke and Jacob Stoffel of Huntington; two brothers: Chandler Stoffel and Micah Rohrabaugh, both of Roanoke; two sisters: Marlie Rohrabaugh of Roanoke and Bryleigh Stoffel of Huntington; maternal grandparents: Tracy Adkins of Huntington and Jeff (Jeana) Rohrabaugh of Huntington; paternal grandparents: Mike (Rose) Stoffel of Huntington; maternal great-grandparents: James (Linda) Guhl and Jack (Janis) Davis, both of Huntington; paternal great grandparents: Barbara Stoffel of Huntington and Joyce Ford of Bluffton; three uncles: Jason (Beth) Stoffel of Fort Wayne, Joel (Happi) Stoffel of Marion, and Connor (Zoie) Adkins of Huntington; two aunts: Beth (Curan) Burnau of Huntington and Abby (Mike) Voelker of Fort Wayne; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his cherished grandfather: Paul Adkins.
